We invite you to join St. Joseph's Health Foundation's donors and close friends for a briefing on how to cope with Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder (PTSD) which many healthcare professionals, survivors, and so many more may be experiencing from COVID-19. There will also be an educated discussion on how to adjust to the 'new normal' the pandemic has caused.

Carlos A. Rueda, MD, MBA, Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and Chief Innovation Officer of St. Joseph's Health and Tina Miles, LCSW, FHELA, Administrative Director, Behavioral Health at St. Joseph’s Health will address the symptoms and how to identify PTSD, as well as how St. Joseph's Health is approaching the issue of PTSD and providing Behavioral Health services for the greater community.

This Spotlight on St. Joseph's will be hosted via WebEx Video Conferencing. While it is possible to access the event via a mobile phone, it is encouraged that you access it via a computer or tablet as a presentation will be shown.

About Dr. Rueda:

Carlos A. Rueda MD MBA is the Chairman of the Department of Psychiatry and the Chief Innovation Officer for the St Josephs Health System. Dr. Rueda is Board Certified in Psychiatry and in Geriatric Psychiatry. He has over 20 years of experience providing clinical care and leadership to a diverse number of Departments of Psychiatry, from Nursing Home based psychiatric services to Regional and University Teaching Hospitals.

He Trained in Psychiatry and Geriatric Psychiatry at St Vincent’s Hospital and medical Center in Greenwich Village, New York City. He also holds a Masters in Business Administration with emphasis in healthcare operations, innovation and entrepreneurship from the Sloan School of Management at the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).

Dr. Rueda has served as Director of Psychiatry in Manhattan in the Terence Cardinal Cooke Health Care Center, St Vincent’s Midtown Hospital; Chair of Psychiatry at Our Lady of mercy Hospital in the Bronx, and Orange Regional Medical Center. He was also the Chief medical Officer and VP for Medical Affairs at Sturdy Memorial Hospital in Attleboro MA.

About Tina Miles:

Tina T. Miles, LCSW, FHELA, is the Director of Behavioral Health at St. Joseph’s Health. Mrs. Miles has worked as a social worker for over 23 years, 20 years at SJH. Ms. Miles received her undergraduate degree from Muhlenberg College in Psychology and Spanish. She holds her Masters in Social Work from Columbia University, School of Social Work.

Prior to working in the Department of Behavioral Health, Ms. Miles worked as a clinician in the Child Protection and Safety Center. Her focus was working with children and families, following the disclosure of sexual abuse. She has also served as the Manager for Psychiatric Emergency Services before becoming the Director of Behavioral Health.

The Department of Behavioral Health consists of the following programs: Psychiatric Emergency Services, Screening Center, Psychiatric Inpatient Services, ACCESS Outpatient and Partial Hospitalization, ACCESS Residential and Intensive Case Management Services, Harbor House – Acute Partial Hospitalization and Integrated Treatment for Co-Occurring Disorders, Outpatient Mental Health Clinic, PATH Program of Passaic County, Adult Residential services, Supported Employment Program, Community Support Services and the Wayne Behavioral Health Service.
